I have had a new layout uploaded for a few weeks now but I didn't realise I could post news about it.
Will someone please comment on my site? I have looked at all the other sites on here, old and new and people seem to be commenting on those, so why is everyone ignoring mine? : (

So, I got rid of my "10-year-old-looking-layout" and now have one in colors I've never used before :)
I do have a question though, when you scroll down you see the black footer. Now, it's only across the whole page because I put a < /div> tag on the top of the footer. But then the site is not valid because that div is not open. When I don't put the < /div> in the footer.php then the black footer is only 800px wide (how I defined the page) ... does anybody know how I can make that footer, with a valid page, to go across the whole page?>>

Well I just redesigned RSN, now it's 3.0 "Sic Semper Sciurus." If you guys wouldn't mind poking around to see if I missed anything it would be much obliged. Thanks in advance, all!

Did you notice?
When you type: http://www.per.fectio.net/ it shows all of Bubs "image from..." button.
When you type: http://per.fection.net it shows this site totally pretty.
Is this the same by you? I'm confused..
And seeing I'm submitting a post I have one question. I see this all over, example: CSS. In some blogs you see it with an underline .... and when you hover it says you what it means. Is this a plugin? Or what is this? I've searched all over but I don't really know what to search for and I'd really like that on my site :) And I know some of you have that on their site so that's why I'm asking. Yup yup :D

So it's possibly not more exciting news than the German Wikipedia fix, buuuut... I have a new layout! I debated posting it here, but 1) it's news, 2) it's definitely related to web design, and 3) everyone loves getting feedback on their designs, including myself. :) So, if you want to check it out, it's at 3till7.net. I've tested it in Firefox, Opera, and Safari on OS X.

I just finished compiling a list of muses for my upcoming redesign, and I was curious:
Where do you go for inspiration?
Here's a couple of my favorites:
Members FYI - Be sure to check out the Review FAQ and let me know if there are any changes I need to make :) Thanks.

Is anyone a Ruby on Rails fan? I love the framework and the beautiful language that is Ruby, too. I first met up with it when doing a co-op at Lexmark, when I had to use it to create an app that would interact with a MySQL DB, show some printer comparison data, and generate images of tables. I've been hooked ever since, because it's so syntactically clean and just plain logical. I've written a couple of things about Rails that may be of interest to other users: go from model to associated table name and back and The Power of 'yield' in Ruby.
